Those are sweet DMScotty! Awesome work you did there with those. I miss those old 2nd ed hobgoblins that had that "far eastern" look and feek to them, like a cross between mongols or samurai/ashigaru or Klingons even, lol. Like this: Even this later style isn't bad but its hard to find ones like any of these:

Sweet! The only thing I can think of is maybe adding some cardstock to cover the edge areas where the cardboard is open on the sides to give it a seemless quality. It is one hell of an impressive piece, very nice. Can't wait to see it painted =)

So tonight we finished up the Pathfinder Society Adventure Scenario In Service to the Lore ( heavily modified of course). The last part of the adventure had the party chasing a potential thief down into the sewers below Absalom. The party searched the sewers and ran into a cadre of goblins, a giant centipede and a troll before finally tracking the thief down, only to discover it was all a ruse to lead them into an ambush. The party managed to defeat their rivals and walk away with some hefty loot. Here's some pics of the action: The party encountering some goblin outriders.... More goblins arrive... Battling the rival party. ( The purple ring is a darkness spell cast by our party. The green ring is a grease spell cast by a rival wizard) Two of our party slipped in the grease and fell prone... All in all it was quite the fun night. Next week we start the dungeon that the tiles in the first set of pics was created for, To Delve the Dungeon Deep. I'll try and remember to post pics of those as we roll through it. One last pic of the sewer layout for you all: Hope you like it! ~Chris

This makes me all tingly...... can't wait to see it finished! You could go out and grab a bag of cheap fish tank rock and glue it to the outside edges to form your walls.....just a thought. Others may have some other quick and easy suggestions?

Would like to see some pics of your stuff. I second this. I have yet to try anything with craft foam, but I have seen a few cool things done with it. Walls of flame and things like that. I'd love to see some other things that people come up with for it!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE MOST IMPRESSIVE THING I HAVE SEEN TO DATE! You sir, are an inspiration to me. I had been thinking about picking up and running Skull and Shackles at some point in the future, this has cemented it. i will be using your work as an inspiration and a template for what I will do, when I do it. Thank you!
It will be sometime before I get there as I have the bulk of my campaign mapped out with this current group (which is blessing considering how much work will go into just making the ships for that AP) and I will be busy working my group through some heavy modded adventures. We are going to be finishing up To Delve the Dungeon Deep and then I will be moving them off Absalom to the mainland and through Taldor and The Dragons Demand. From there I am going to run them further north into Nirmathas and through Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God, and City of Golden Death. From there I will take them north again into Ustalav and through the Carrion Crown AP. The trick is going to be able to heavily mod them into including goals and storylines I have in mind for my players characters and making it all work well together. Depending on where they are level wise I may wanna try to get them involved in some activities in and around the Worldwound area. Hopefully my players interest will hold, but if it does not we can always break up the monotony by starting on Skull and Shackles! =)
Again, I think your work here is absolutely awesome and look forward to seeing in more!
~Chris

Impressive work! Really love all the elements you have in play there, traps, webs, good doors, fur rugs, tables, cave features, monsters.. and even some sort of grey barney the dinosaur (lol, my work mate said over my shoulder "Awww what a cute little monster!").. personally, if I met anything like that at the adjusted scale, I would scream and run. The scorpions and rats are great, where did you grab them from? The scorpions I grabbed at my local Wal-mart in their party favor section. They came (1 per package) with a bunch of other assorted insects and a nice spider. The rats are from Reapers Bones line ( I feel like I'm plugging for them with how much I have mentioned them as of late, lol... Where's my royalty check? they are a great line of models though). The dino thing is a dragon statue I made out of Sculpey. I couldn't find any minis that would work so decided to try my hand at sculpting one.. not great by any means but it is functional My group has a final run through some sewers to finish the adventure they are on, and then I can introduce them to this one. I'll try to get some pics of the sewer tiles on Thursday when we play and share those. Again everyone, Thank you for the compliments and comments!

Wow good work, I need to start doing tables, chair, treasure piles ect. Excellent work - The tiles, accouterments, and figs look great together. Cool stuff. Thanks Neil! A little info on the dungeon itself.... SPOILERS AHEAD---you have been warned! The Dungeon used to be part of a tower that was manned by a powerful wizard from the land of Qadira. He was part of a large force that was besieging the city of Absalom. When he realized that through the ineptitude of those under him that the siege was going to fail he cast an earthquake spell and brought the tower down upon him and his followers killing them all. Fast forward several hundred years, and another earthquake has occurred and revealed the once hidden entrance to the towers lowest levels. The Pathfinder Society sends our humble adventurers to investigate. Inside they find that the lower level has become home to a clan of kobolds and other denizens. Some key features: 1) Just inside the entry way is the first of 4 elemental "devices", this one being of Air. It consists of a funnel of air that is released through the mouth of a carving in the wall. This "device" was used by the servants to blow trash and debris out and down to the base of the tower, keeping the place neat and clean. Now it serves as a way for bastard DM's to send PC's flying out and down a 15' fall into the canyon below the doorway. 2) Further in is the second elemental "device". This one being of Water. It consists of a hydra headed fountain that, when activated, sends a high powered stream of water into the players standing in the narrow hallway, driving them backwards and into the iron spikes conveniently protruding from the door at the end of the hallway. 3) A bit more in the players find a destroyed statue that has a plaque still attached to it. When the phrase written on it is read an earth elemental is summoned. Is this elemental friend? or foe? Only the pc's are going to find out. 4) And lastly, the thing that is keeping the kobolds around. A dragon shaped statue that when activated breathes fire. an enterprising young skulk has discovered the secret and is using it to have the kobolds help him live a life of comfort...But for how much longer? 5) The black painted areas on the floors are representing a type of nasty mold that sickens the party, and there are also some nice slimy areas that are perfect for grey oozes, lol... I can't wait to run my group through this. Since it is designed and written for a level 1 party I have beefed it up to make it more of a challenge for my soon to be level 3 group. I'll try and remember to get some in-game pics to share as well when we get to it in a couple weeks!

Dungeon Entrance: The entrance is supposed to be up partway on a canyon type wall, so I created just the facade for it. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Gonna start sharing pics of my crafted Dungeons here in this thread. Please forgive the occasional blurry photo. (camera phone and all that!) I have utilized many of DMScotty's and DMG's tips and ideas and twisted a few in my own special way Hope you enjoy! Without further ado, my take on the dungeon from the Pathfinder Society adventure: To Delve the Dungeon Deep

monkeywithtacos makes a good point. I've been eyeballing that dragon for some time now, and now I know I can go ahead and buy a ton of dragons. The size is nice. Especially since, yesterday I think it was, Reaper released a huge new batch of their new Bones line, including several beautiful dragons, and tbh the prices are pretty damn good comparatively. Hell, their "Kaladrax (sp?) reborn" dracolich takes up more space than the Thanksgiving turkey on a table and is only $80.00..... My wallets gonna be empty from now til the Apocalypse I am thinking...

Hmm.... If it was an undead monster I'd suggest these: link
It would be difficult to add flesh to these via clay or greenstuff or miliput, but it might be worth trying if you really need to? Or you could pick up on of the new Reaper Bones Mariliths and cut her off at the waist and reattach her to another minis legs? link
Another option might be a Girallon mini (although they only have 4 arms) link
link
Or maybe a Draegloth? (Although again, only 4 arms) Anyhow, I hope this helps in some way! Good luck!

Thinking it would be better if it was brushed on rather than seran wrap. The lacquer route may be the quickest/cheapest but test it on a small piece of the foam to make sure it won't damage it if you accidentally get some on it. I've had some weird reactions with certain paint/lacquer mixtures and foam in the past.

That is cool! My kid went out and bought one of the Sonic Scewdrivers with money he saved, and when he told me how much he spent I almost snarfed my pepsi right there. He and I did come across a cool, inexpensive way to make a Keyblade prop from the Kingdom Hearts video game series that he and I are going to make. It's awesome when we can get the kids involved in the crafting along with the gaming aspects of our hobbies!

Yeah I'd say, hit the whole thing with cheap flat black and then after that dries come back and spray a light coat of the texture paint on the ground areas of the cave. If you get some over spray of the texture onto the walls I'd call it a bonus. Anyhow I can't wait to see it finished. Your players are gonna enjoy it!
