Just a suggestion, we should link to some of these specific products so that new people can find them quickly. So as we discuss String Gel they can look at the site etc to learn more. Just a thought.

I would follow realityburn's advise if I were doing it.
But I admit, there is a part of me that would love to see the whole thing as a tile just for fun.

This is a great idea. I love how you worked the theme in and made it fun at the same time.
I also liked the idea of using the plastic poker chips. Nice.

I have five bags of dungeon tiles i will never use again. Why never use them? I would suggest use them and just ignore the grid on them. Have fun and still use what you paid for.

I love this idea. I have been using the "set the mini next to the horse" for a while, but this is clean and easy to do. Great idea.

If you want to draw out quick maps but not use a grid, you could just use a big pad of newsprint or erasable markers on a sheet of vinyl or acrylic. You can also get small white boards used at schools for students at their desk. This would give you the ability to wing a space and still have no grids.
