The tail seems kinda weird to me, why would the head and tail both be above ground at the same time?

Great work on the potions and the books. The detail on those is incredible. How did you do the open book on the desk? Looks a bit different from DMG's method. (Bookshelves are on my list for next weekend btw.) The books are maded from the spine of a magazine (I used an old national geographic). This way they actually have pages. Just take a ruler and start cutting until it goes all of the way through. Then you cut the little books out of the spine strip. After that I used white glue to glue different colored papers to each one. The open book is just one that I glued open.

DAY 3 Here we go! Alright, I started off today making over 50 miniature potion bottles. I also made some mini books and scrolls to go with the bookshelf and desk I made yesterday. Combine it all for a couple of neat little pieces. On to the next project!!!

DAY 1 Here is the finished but unpainted purple worm and some of DMScotty's Colored Crystals. I had to make my purple worm base bigger, it was quite top heavy for some reason. I even filled the bottom tube of the worm with gravel along with the toilet paper.

You're right: There are still plenty of minis per gaming dollar (euros), better than other deals out there. But I have two major problems with it: 1) intl. backers are treated as 2nd class - which pisses me off to no end. I completely understand the economics behind the decision, but I am still pissed off. Really, I can not describe how much this angers me without becoming rude... *grumbles* 2) Compared with the 100$ for the standard package, 50 or 60$ for shipping is just not tolarable, at least for me. true, I will (would have) probably order(ed) a few optional minis so that the ratio shipping fees vs. price of goods comes down a bit, but such a huge additional cost is simply out of the question, even more if I add the taxes. 3) Add to both points above that you always get minis you didn't really want and the ones you want have to be purchased extra... I didn't drop out immediately, but I'll wait & see until the last day of the KS. If I like the overall package then, maybe. But the giddy-ness of the first KS is definitely gone. I would be willing to bet that in the next KS that Reaper will not be offering free shipping to anyone to keep it "Fair". Or they might just say "screw it" and make it available only in the USA just so they do not have to deal with the headaches. Either way somebody is going to get pissed off and bitch about it. I think that Reaper knows that this was a mistake but at this point there is not much they can do about it. In the end they need to decide if they want to piss off the USA backers or the rest of the world. Since most of their business is from the USA it is pretty clear where that decision will stand.

Bad news for international backers (like me) is that we have to pay shipping fees ourselves (shipping for US backers is paid by Reaper), and those fees are painfully high. 60 USD for the standard pack (which costs 100 USD, or something like that... Considering that I'll have to add taxes to whatever I'll be orderng in the end (unknown amount of bonus minis...), I am seriously thinking about getting out of that deal. Yeah, international shipping sucks for anyone. It will probably still be a good deal for you by the time it ends though.

In honor of DMScotty's Vacation. I will be Posting something I have crafted every day this week starting on tomorrow. Maybe just little stuff, but hey lets keep active in absence of our fearless leader. I am starting work on my purple worm today and I am sure I am not the only one.

So for $100 you get everything that is in the purple box? like over 100 minis? like 138 if i counted right, is that right? Yes, and more will get added to the purple box as pledges increase.

Not loving the Gelatinous "Cube" mini. I think the crafted ones on here are superior. I agree 100%, it needs to be more cube like. Plus for the money I would rather buy something I cant make a good version of.

This is a stupendously good deal, I mean look at what you get with the $100 core set pledge.. That is INSANE.. I dare say that could never happen without Kickstarter crowd funding. And more and more stuff will be added in the next 24 days!

Sorry, watched the video and saw their pics and still trying to make sure I understand: you pledge $100 and the more money they raise the more "bonus" figures they add to the set? Yes and you can add extras if you wish.

A question for those who got the last bones kickstarter. How long did it take for you to get your minis? Did they all come at the same time?

How could i buy this mini only for 100 dollars? If you pledge $100 you will receive every miniature in the "core set". As donations increase they add more minis to the set. So by the time the kickstarter ends in 25 days there will be a lot more than there are listed right now. You can also purchase the add on miniatures like the 2 hill giants for $10, you can get as many add ons as you wish. They will also be adding more add on options as the pledge levels increase. The drawback is it will take a year before you get them.

The amazing thing about this kickstarter, I believe they started it today and it's already earned over 15 times the funding level! Yeah, no danger of this one not getting funded. The last one almost hit 3.5 million dollars. By the time it is over you will probably get hundreds of minis for a $100 investment.
