I'm debating changing my username (I feel like 'bloodchoke' kinda portrays a tough guy image that I don't want to be associated with),but once I decide I'll move my threads over. Nah, dont change it.

Or even if people would suggest their favorite published adventures, there are a lot of good and bad ones out there.

Thanks guys. I need to get a sculpting medium that is a little firmer. I have a hard time with not messing up what I have already done when working on another part.

I have been checking those auctions from time to time. I never seem to find any for a decent price.

I am waiting for paypal to release money from an ebay auction I sold. Should be by the 11th of November. Then I am going to buy last years bones kickstarter box and a big set of reaper paint. That should keep me busy until this kickstarter shows up next year lol.

Unless you are using the thicker cardboard I dont think covering the corrugation on tile walls is really necessary.

Dungeon tiles= I make them
Item info= I buy them Amazon.com
Monster info= I buy them Amazon.com
There are also certain torrent sites where you can download pretty much every RPG book ever made for free. Or so I have heard. Not that I would do anything like that.

So how can I get items? I meen it comes with a VERY small deck of item cards but where can I bet items? I mean I've looked FOREVER and I can't find either official item cards or books, or some decent homebrew ones. When they're homebrew it says the item name and the cost but not what it does and how mush say health you get, or whatever it is. Where can I find some? The dungeon masters guide has a section that is full of different magic items.

I was thinking that it would be cool if we had a thread that people could share encounters that they have designed. We all share our crafting pics but we dont see many posts on actual encounters and how they work. This might be a great help to new DMs or experienced DMs that need a little inspiration. Post pics if you want to.

Maybe you could try cutting the arms, legs, head off of a goblin mini and then make a blob like body out of clay. Then glue the goblin parts to it.

It would be easier to help answer your questions if you were a little more specific on what it is that you do not understand. As far as "Making a world". There are lots of published campaign settings that are available for purchase such as Forgotten Realms. If you do decide to make your own world start small and let the world grow along with your campaign. There is no reason to map out areas which the players will not see for many months or years. I use a piece of poster board and draw the continents. Then I pick a starting point for them to begin in and grow out from there.

I made an Otyugh with some help from a couple little plastic dinosaurs. Used the tails for his tentacles and feet for feet. The rest is made with model magic, toothpicks, 3 small beads for eyes, some wire, and pieces from a fake flower. Here he is all painted up. I am pretty happy with how he turned out.

Oh crap I pledged for all the extras I wanted already. Does that mean I paid 280 for the basic set. I used the reaper calculator so I thought it would record the extra sets I wanted. Ok,the only thing that matters at this point is what your total pledge was when the kickstarter ended which should have been already taken out of your account. Now, in a couple of weeks you will get an email from reaper asking you to choose what you want to spend the money one. So if you spent $280 you could get 2 $100 core sets, and $80 worth of add ons or 1 core set with $180 worth of add ons, or you can skip the core set altogether and just get $280 worth of add ons etc..You can also add more money onto what you have already paid and get more stuff if you choose. You have until December 31st to decide. I pledged $250. I will be getting core set, expansion 1, the tarrasque, and not sure about the rest yet exactly. I am going to try to stick to stuff that I will likely use in a dnd game, but some of the models are just too damn cool to pass up. Im even considering getting the mouslings and making some cute little village for them and then at night they turn into the rat add on models lol. Here is a link to a page that shows all of the models. If you mouse over them it will show you a better picture of each one. www.bones.kgdcraftermath.com/

Just make all the tiles and terrain without grids and they will have no choice. Also make then each a measuring stick. They might quit but probably only one of them would really do that. I'll try. Also What's a good way of measuring for the tiles for making the sides all have a right corner ow something? I want them nice and neat unless it's like a cave or something. You can use a T square or one of those drafting triangles.

I pledged up past 200 and used the calculator to add other sets. When I got the confirmation email it only mentions the Core set... Reward 2013 CORE SET (WAVE 6 SHIPPING)! This reward level gets you the 2013 Core Set, plus any Core Set Stretch Goals that get unlocked. Free Shipping for US Customers. International Customers will pay Actual Shipping costs. Estimated delivery In a few weeks you should get an email from reaper where you pick and choose your addons etc..I am not sure what you are using now but it is not the actual order form. Which add ons did you go for DM Scotty?

Try using an image hosting site. I use photobucket but there are others to choose from.

You can also use hot glue or poster tack to stick the base of a mini onto old paint bottles or medicine bottles. That will give you a much better grip to hold them.

Sorry, the forums here have been pretty quiet as of late. I will be working on some cavern tiles, nothing out of the ordinary, just need some more. I think I need to make a trip to the thrift store to get some new bitz for inspiration.
Anyone else working on anything?

So to make sure I understand this correctly, you don't want a flat arena with rings of seating around it. You also don't want it to be too tall. I think I would start with an oval shape for the arena floor. You may want to flatten the ends of the oval. Next I'd take a strip of card about 1" wide and long enough to frame the arena sides. Youc ould embellish this with dowelling for columns between lengths of card, and add portcullis like gates at either end. If you cut out your arena floor with enough space around it you can use the remaining card as a base for the seating. I would add extra rows as strips of card, and maybe even do a small section with an enclosed private box for the high and mighty watching the games.. You could aslo build supports about 1/2" thick to raise the seeting and give it a bit more elevation. I am definitely leaning towards an oval shape.
