DM Scotty runs another campaign.
"Running the D&D module Keep on the Shadowfell with quite a bit of modification on my part. This is only the third time two of my players have been at my table. In this vid I not only run the game without the grid but I also introduce a system for not measuring movement. And yes, my RPG system of choice is 4e so no edition comments please."

I notice you utilise a house rule where if they are trained in the skill they roll 2d20 and keep the highest. i think this is an awesome idea. but do you keep the usual +3 bonus for being trained as well or is it swap it out for the other bonus?

I keep the bonus. In my mind if you are trained in a skill 4E you would be less likely to fall on your face with a bad roll and the second die usually keeps that from happening. Remember the NPCs and monsters get to use this rule also, (if trained).

Now I need to go back and find your doors tutorial as I noticed in ep2 that your doors appear to be hinged, which I don't recall from the first time I watched the door crafting vid. those are very cool. Are they ones you crafted, DMScotty? And if so can you do a tutorial and show us how you did them? or perhaps some close up pics?

Wow, 4e combat seems very complicated and time consuming. I cant even imagine what it is like with measuring movement on top of that.

You can find them for sale online. I do a vid where I spruce them up a bit.

Yeah those old Mage Knight doors are cool. A set of 3 wood and one metal door is about 15 bucks on Ebay.
