Here is a gnome caravan done in the 2.5D style. You could use this 2.5 technique with any type of conveyance. Attachments:

The wagon was easily made by putting a rectangle of the wagon on the cardboard base. I then added the curved cardstock to the top of the wagon. The wheels are half circle cardboard with the corrugation covered in cardstock strips. The ponies are horse images I got at mapshare and then laser printed to pony scale. I then glued the images to cardboard and cut them out. Lastly, I washed the ponies with craft color and was careful not to paint them too dark and cover up the detail. the yoke is made from strips of cardboard and then all was just painted up with craft paints. I like these very much. 2.5D'ing horses and other mounts would be very useful to me.

These are really cool... I just realized the wheels are cut off half way.
