I like to see where others do there work/crafting at. It helps to inspire me and always give me good ideas on how do improve my space. So here is my work area. I use an old room above my garage. This is my miniature painting table. This is where I have my airbrush set up. Just got into doing this so this is all new to me. I like it so far but I am a total noob at it This is where I make all my terrain and base any miniatures. I like to keep any flocking away form the painting tables. That stuff has a habit of getting all over the place and onto wet paint. So what does your work space look like ?

a mess compared to yours....my work space gets condensed to a 9 inch by 9 inch space...surrounded by bits of cardboard, hot glue guns and glue nibblets, jars of paint and old paper towels. I would sell my eye teeth to have the organization and neatness of your space...which is why you are showing yours and I am not showing mine.

Slurpy, would you please reduce the size of the image, it's HUGE! and it stretches the forum width. ;D unclebilly: Wow! Sure you have enough paints? lol! I've started to gather paints for painting my minis... I'm up to twenty... whooo! Ok here's my "workspace": Which doubles as a play area:

OK, I have enjoyed seeing the workplace of everyone else that I thought I would share my basement workspace. I did not clean up before inviting you all over so it is as it is. i also noticed people are having a challenging time resizing images. there is a free wonderful program called irfanview that has a thumbnail program that allows you to chose a bunch of images and it will batch resize them (I reduce my images by 30% and it works beautifully, my wife uses it for her EBay photos). www.irfanview.com/if you like the program you can make a donation to the developer via Paypal..it is worth the suggested $15 donation and more. Some of us don't have trouble, we just spent too much money on monitors and don't notice when something is larger than 1366x768.

I'm in the process of cleaning up my home office, but I've got some older pictures of my workspace. I use it for hobby work as well as computer games and some real work, when I work from home. Computer work station Very cluttered hobby desk The gaming room, before my son moved back into the house. I hope to get the room back sometime towards the end of summer!

I'm looking for something exactly like that and haven't been able to locate. BTW, very impressive set-up. I'm working on a similar, but smaller, one like that myself. I'll post some pics when I get some time. Thanks for starting this topic. It's cool to see how others arrange things.

Gamemasterkenn Did you just buy the whole collection of paints from a company or did you buy those paints 1 at a time? Sweet set up guys, light, airy and organized. My dark dungeoness space seems creepy in comparison.

Don't know about Gamemasterkenn. But, I always try to buy my paint in set you can get a better deal most of the time. As far as the P3 paint and the Secret Weapon Washes got them at TheWarStore www.thewarstore.com/ Neal is a great guy and has some good stuff. I think I got most of my other paints as set on Ebay. I did alot of checking around befor I started to buy them and found the best price I could. All my Games Workshop paints are old ones I had stored away from 1997 and they are all still good. Best thing I can say is if you don't want to buy alot of paints is order a paint pot or 2 of each type and try them out and see what you like to work with.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. Too bad it isn't on Prime. So did you get like 9 of those stands? I ended up buying 2 Swivel Stores at K-Mart for $10 each but they are not exactly what I was looking for and you can't put them right next to each other because of the space needed for them to pivot so I'll probably get a couple of those nail polish stands too.

Yes I got 9 of them. But, I did not order them all at one time. The fist order I did I only got 1 of them to see if I liked it or not. Then I got 3 more the next order . I think the first 4 I bought they where only $22.00 each and the shipping was only a few bucks. They have raised the price on them a few times. I paid a little more for the 5th-7th ones then even more for the 8th and 9th one. Seems like the more they sell of the the more they jack the price up on them. I know I had posted about these on the Reaper Forums and I think they must have sold a few becasue of this and jacked the price up again.

Wow!!! How do your wives/girlfriends/significant others like your spaces? My fiance is into gaming but I don't think she would let me have an area in our house for stuff like this. As for above the garage she would be alright with that. If I do a project I need to be able to put it away out of site when done.

Best thing to do is let them know that a man cave keep a man from going out all the time. Keep you at home where they can keep an eye out on you

I have a series of trash piles which I call my 'art supplies' and can usually manage to clear enough room on my desk to make something small. My sculpting tools consist of an old Ball point pen and a tooth pick, a craft knife and a pin. For larger projects (such as Gnome making), I take over half the dining room table and move it all when required.. I am just drooling over some of the work spaces you guys have, and I often dream about my ideal set up. This is my current work space, mostly making gnome stuff at the moment, but there is signs of the beholder and my dungeon tile project under way..

Are you casting in Dental plaster or resin> The material in the mold looks to be resin but I see the powder in the bowls which leads me to believe it might be dental plaster. I have also started a tile making (home grown) project that I will share with the group here when the time is right.

Ha, I wish it was dental plaster! Nope, that is plain old Mortar.. takes a long time to set, its fairly difficult to get a good cast from it.. but, it withstands outdoor conditions and its very cheap. Ideally I would have grabbed some portland white cement, but they were out, so I got this instead. On the plus side, it is fairly easy to carve just after its set and before it fully cures, so it has some possibilities.. the beholder is a case and point.

Guys! What amazing workrooms! The Unclebilly painting room is unbelievable! Scott, how do you find things in this layer? :-P Some kind of "find magic"? :-) This is my humble lab, library and playroom! (My wife will kill me if I do this mess in the dining room! kkk) Boardgames and History Books, and some RPG books scattered! :-) The table and the "Middle Earth curtains!" (Yes, I really love JRR Tolkien works) And a poster of the "best fantasy movie ever" :-) Miniatures boxes. More books and boardgames! The "digital Palantir place! I'm still working on the pyramid The last and the best! The RPG collection!
