Hey all, my first post here, and I don't know if someone has covered the idea or topic on easy condition and modifier markers.
Before I post that, let me just say that I found out about DM Scotty only 3 days ago, I have watched nearly all his vids in that time, and I am LOVING the ease, affordability and the craftiness involved in his projects. I also love a lot of the ideas I am getting out of the forum here.
Now, I know that the general stereo-type for tabletop gamers is we drink a lot of soda and eat a lot of chips and snacks at the table. IF the soda part is true, then you are already 99% of the way to this tip I am going to share. My group saved about 4 dozen of the tops off 2 liter and 20 ounce soda bottles in varying colors. Not the caps, but that part that you twist the cap free from. Its a little band or ring of plastic. Remove them from those bottles and they fit great around most medium minis. And they hang easily on some part of the bigger minis. generally speaking, we used red (Code Red Mt. Dew, Coke, and occasionally Dr. Pepper) to mark the bloodied (half hp or less), we used green for poisoned, white for a group of conditions such as slowed, frightened, intimidated, etc. We use a myriad of colors and assign value as the gaming session requires. Red, blue, green, Light green (Diet Mt Dew), white, orange, black, even have a few pink and purple ones.
But they make great conditional markers. Which makes it easier for players and the DM to remember them when looking at the game board.
Hope someone finds this helpful!! And any input or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
