How would u guys get a bunch of egg shapes? I'm going to run my players up against an Insect Queen sort of mob (maybe Giger-esque) of some kind at some point, and want to be able to represent a huge clutch of eggs.

Clay. for miniature size representation they don't have to be perfect, and alot of oblong shapes can be made easily. depending on the size of course. Use the same method that is recomended for making sandbags/flour or wheat sacks:
Take modeling clay, roll it into a long roll (approximately the same size in diameter as you want your eggs to be), then cut (approximately the length of the egg). Then pinch and round the top and bottom. Doesn't need to be perfect of course.
If you want to give it a sort of dino-egg look, get thin dowel, or the end of your paintbrush (or a needle if needed), and *lightly* press it into the egg for texture.
There may be other ways though, but this is one I think will help at least in getting some quick and easy crafting ideas.

I have a whole tub of air dry clay I've been sitting on and didn't even think of it.
