I have had problems myself with warping at times. Usually the edges bend up so I just turn them over and bend them in the reverse direction. The bottom of the tile may crease but the top will look fine. Another option is to glue another layer of cardboard to the bottom of the tile. So just trace the tile, cut it out and glue to the bottom of the first tile.

Question: Would painting the bottom with the Primer help keep the tile from warping?
Sort of like adding a sealer of sorts to the cardboard?

That might do the trick, I have never tried it. If you try it and it works let me know.

Warping in cardboard can be due to many things.
1) Using PVA glue: PVA or white glue is water based and will soak into the paper. This can cause warping.
2) Heavy painting: Even heavy priming can cause warping. This is due to the shrinking in the layers of paint shrink. Enamel paint or spray paint should have less shrinking that acrylic.
In the end less is better, just get the coverage you need to achieve an even thin coat. This also applies to gluing.

Check out my pics in the user gallery, the warped flooring for a dungeon adds a lot of flavor, so for me its not a problem. If you look at my cardstock buildings they do not warp much at all. You could always cut out cardstock to fit in between your walls. Just paint the cardstock and glue it down. Personally, I just bend from underneath as dm scotty suggested.

I encountered warping from the get-go. What I did to correct this problem was cut 1/2" strips I would normally use for a wall and hot glue them to the underside of the tile in the direction that was perpendicular to the corrugation of the card board. So far this method helps.

Hi all, first post! I fix warping using wide scotch packing tape. Take a roll and peel a few inches leaving it on the roll. stick this to the back of the tile at one corner. pull down on the roll to expose enough to reach across. now the tricky bit. Use a table edge to stick the taut tape to the bsck of the tile while pressing down. I do this by placing the tile edge where the tape is attached on the table and let the tape roll hang off the edge. applying downward pressure, I slide the tile towards the table center... the tape gets rolled on by the table edge. Cheap laminator! Usually two diagonals fix the warping perfectly and reinforce the tile nicely. if I get time I will do a video response showing the trick. Hope that helps!

Another cheaper alternative. Tape toothpicks across the corrugation underneath. Or you could tape the long wooden coffee stirrers.
