After watching DM Scotty's Fountain video, my question is this: I realize, DM Scotty, that you have much more practice with a hot glue gun than I do, but every time I use a glue gun I get strands EVERYWHERE, including all over myself. What kind of glue gun/glue do you use that it stays so precise and clean? Or is it just technique and practice? Please... Any advice you could give would help....

Its the low resolution video that hides the wisps, making Scotty look like he has a magic glue gun... in reality wisps are a part of using hot glue. Try to press the glue gun down at the end of the last stroke to limit the amount of glue left on the nozzle. This will reduce wisps, but not eliminate them.

As the DMG says whisps are part of doing texture with a glue gun. In most cases you can just rub them off. You can also just use the tip of the glue gun, (without squirting out more glue) to melt the whisps back into the texture.

I've also seen hot glue gun users make a winding motion after they finish with placing the glue before they pull the gun away from what they've just applied the glue to in order to reduce the number of whisps by getting them stuck to the hot tip of the gun!
