I would absolutely love to see steampunk tiles. I know DM Scotty did a video on space ship tiles, which he said could be repurposed as steampunk, but I want something more artful and mechanical looking, with gears on the floors and walls. And a video on making a mechanical player character mini made of brass bits and powered by glowing magic gems, crystals, or runes. This is inspired by the Rhune campaign setting for pathfinder, in which there is a player race called the Automata. I would also like to see a video on using actual brass gear as bases for miniatures.

They all sound interesting.....have you tried something on your own yet? Would be really cool to see what you might come up with. Hit up your local craft store and spend an hour wandering around and see what kind of cool things you might stumble across that could be used...Then come back and share with us what you come up with....That would be awesome!

I tend to think of steampunk design in more of a 3D aspect, but if you ware to stick to 2.5D tiles, I think you could do it. It is mostly in the embellishments, really. Rivets, got to have rivets! These are easy to do, by either slicing old model sprues, or posterboard and the smallest hole punch you can find. Gears can be salvaged from somethings, but they are also available to purchase fairly cheaply on Ebay, or online. Piping is easy with straws as well. You will want a fairly smooth finish on any tiles you paint so the raised edge might be better done in balsa or bass wood, or even plastic.
