Of late I have been obsessed with buying the affordable Bones miniatures and painting them for my figure collection. One trick I do when working on the plastic figures is screw in a 1.25 inch screw that allows me to easily hold the figure while painting it. Holding the head of the screw you can easily turn the figure around and paint any surface easily. I hated putting the wet figure down on the work bench to dry so I came up with this use of the rare earth magnets that were discussed on the forum last summer. These tiny rare earth magnets can be bought CHEAPLY on Ebay and they work wonderfully to hold the figure while it dries. I have a metal cabinet next to my work space so I use that to hang the figures from. Thought I would share this trick. [seems I cannot upload a photo to show]

You can also use hot glue or poster tack to stick the base of a mini onto old paint bottles or medicine bottles. That will give you a much better grip to hold them.

That's what I do as well. Some adhesive putty and a old medicine bottle. Some people also fill that bottle with sand so it doesn't fall over easily when you set it down.

Yep bluetac to the top of an empty GW paint pot and just stick the base to it. I find they sit very comfortably in my hands.
