The amazing thing about this kickstarter, I believe they started it today and it's already earned over 15 times the funding level!

The amazing thing about this kickstarter, I believe they started it today and it's already earned over 15 times the funding level! Yeah, no danger of this one not getting funded. The last one almost hit 3.5 million dollars. By the time it is over you will probably get hundreds of minis for a $100 investment.

...and I'm in the 1st wave of shipment! *happy dance* I've was in the 1st bones kickstarter and although I haven't even opened all the bags so far (it's been a truly massive mount of minis), it was worth every cent. I won't probably ever get arount painting each and every mini, neither of bones 1 or 2 in my lifetime (terrain crafting first, mini painting second), but these things don't get bad, so I hope my son will carry on when he's old enough (18 months and already a dragon lover). I absolutely love the mouselings and rat minis, too bad these are not parts of the core set but have be bought extra. I wish I could trade them for core stuff that I don't really need. Whatever, these will see good use in a few years, when my son and his friends get introduced to roleplaying by playing mouse characters.

I'll be honest with myself and everyone else here. I have more minis than I know what to do with! My lead mountain needs some trimming. So I just backed this at the $1 level. Some of the add ons are appealing, but I really don't need more figs "I'll get around to doing... someday." Do not get me wrong. The Reaper Bones are very nice, but I just don't have room for them. *Sigh*

How could i buy this mini only for 100 dollars? If you pledge $100 you will receive every miniature in the "core set". As donations increase they add more minis to the set. So by the time the kickstarter ends in 25 days there will be a lot more than there are listed right now. You can also purchase the add on miniatures like the 2 hill giants for $10, you can get as many add ons as you wish. They will also be adding more add on options as the pledge levels increase. The drawback is it will take a year before you get them.

The last Kickstarter they did, I paid about $.50 per mini!

I think I ended up around 90 cents per mini, but I also bought some paints and three cases and a bunch of the larger, more expensive add-ons. Still, crazy-good deal.

A question for those who got the last bones kickstarter. How long did it take for you to get your minis? Did they all come at the same time?

Yes they came all at the same time. Can't exactly say how long it took, as mine was delayed by the German Custom Authority, where I had to pay some taxes. Customers from the US and some other contries got theirs much earlier.

Sorry, watched the video and saw their pics and still trying to make sure I understand: you pledge $100 and the more money they raise the more "bonus" figures they add to the set?

This is a stupendously good deal, I mean look at what you get with the $100 core set pledge.. That is INSANE.. I dare say that could never happen without Kickstarter crowd funding.

My minis came fairly quickly in the shipping order. Can't remember for sure, but I think it was within 2 weeks after they started actually fulfilling orders!

I would love to jump on these as it does seem like a great deal. My big holdback is I have a ton of metal miniatures from the 80s (I would guesstimate 400-500) or so and these are all 25MM. I know th enewer minis coming out are most likely 28MM (maybe I am wrong), but I don't want to mix and match. Plus given the lot of miniatures that I have, a full 75% are not yet painted.

Not loving the Gelatinous "Cube" mini. I think the crafted ones on here are superior.

Yeah, not a fan of those slimes, or some of those elementals, but the dragons, the kraken, the mouselings.. so much win.

Bad news for international backers (like me) is that we have to pay shipping fees ourselves (shipping for US backers is paid by Reaper), and those fees are painfully high. 60 USD for the standard pack (which costs 100 USD, or something like that... Considering that I'll have to add taxes to whatever I'll be orderng in the end (unknown amount of bonus minis...), I am seriously thinking about getting out of that deal.

Yeah, international shipping sucks for anyone. It will probably still be a good deal for you by the time it ends though.

You're right: There are still plenty of minis per gaming dollar (euros), better than other deals out there. But I have two major problems with it:
1) intl. backers are treated as 2nd class - which pisses me off to no end. I completely understand the economics behind the decision, but I am still pissed off. Really, I can not describe how much this angers me without becoming rude... *grumbles*
2) Compared with the 100$ for the standard package, 50 or 60$ for shipping is just not tolarable, at least for me. true, I will (would have) probably order(ed) a few optional minis so that the ratio shipping fees vs. price of goods comes down a bit, but such a huge additional cost is simply out of the question, even more if I add the taxes.
3) Add to both points above that you always get minis you didn't really want and the ones you want have to be purchased extra...
I didn't drop out immediately, but I'll wait & see until the last day of the KS. If I like the overall package then, maybe. But the giddy-ness of the first KS is definitely gone.

I would be willing to bet that in the next KS that Reaper will not be offering free shipping to anyone to keep it "Fair". Or they might just say "screw it" and make it available only in the USA just so they do not have to deal with the headaches. Either way somebody is going to get pissed off and bitch about it. I think that Reaper knows that this was a mistake but at this point there is not much they can do about it. In the end they need to decide if they want to piss off the USA backers or the rest of the world. Since most of their business is from the USA it is pretty clear where that decision will stand.

So many figs looks like a great deal on the downside it looks like I have to wait about a year or more for delivery.
