Hi How do I, best, create barrels, crates in various sizes and coils of rope and other stuff found on ships? They need to be moved, theres most likely going to be a major fight and things will be thrown around.
Best crafting, evilolle!

Crates can be made by making cardboard shaped boxes and then adding cardstock to the edges so that it looks like you have wood structure supports. There are a couple of threads on the site about doing just that. You could also get coffee stirrer sticks to use for those supports instead of cardstock if you want.
For coils of rope, you could take string or twine, make it into a coil and put super glue on it. The super glue will soak into the string and when it hardens, you will have a solid coil! I'd put the coils on wax paper or something similar so that you can pull them off once dry. Or you could make a small circle of cardstock and put the coils on that so you have a base!
I don't have an answer for barrels other than find some wooden craft forms, like Woodsees at Michaels. I've never been happy personally with what I've found, they're always too big for me, but I know that they are constantly changing their stock at the one near my house so it might be that I just don't go in there when they've got what I would want.

I just cheat and use wooden shapes at craft stores as the basis "called woodsies".

Hmm why did I not think off the small rope and glue? Maybe on a cardstock base?
And thank you for reminding me about the crates, I could not find it!
