I made 6 new playable trees over the weekend. This is two of them from saturday night's game. Overhead view (with an unfinished tower): Latest attempt at tables. Posted this before, but I thought I'd put it here for reference.

I have some more in game pics from the Madness at Gardmore Abbey adventure that I finally started running. I'm kinda thinking about starting a new thread and posting updates as the adventure progresses, with both pictures and a summary of each night's game. Should I do that, or just post them all here?

So much great stuff! Love the amount of detail in your tiles. I too would like to see more updates from your games

Thanks guys! I think I will start a Madness thread once I get some more pictures. It's a fairly difficult adventure to run, and it would be helpful to me to see a recap from another group, so maybe it could be useful to someone else also. In the meantime, I'll just post what I have here. This is Encounter 3: Double Talk, where the PCs face an ettin guard. The ettin is a reaper bones and one of my first attempts at painting. We use pipe cleaners, like the ones hanging from the ettin, to mark conditions. The red is because he's bloodied, and the yellow is because he was knocked prone. The blue and white loop is the ranger's quarry. Every PC who can mark has their own color combo, along with a matching movement measure (though they usually just use the wooden ones). Behind the door the ettin guarded is the Chief's Retinue. We stopped here for the night, so I'll get a better picture when we play again. The fighter took the ettin's keg after killing him, as his beer keg was empty, and the player used a pipe cleaner to attach to his mini.

A few more from Madness at Gardmore Abbey... The PCs first went to the Abbey to scout the orc defenses and social/leadership organization. To keep up this, I gave the players an incomplete poster board size map for them to fill in as they explored. I also had an incomplete one of paper that I would draw in and give to them to keep it fairly accurate. The PCs enter the hall occupied by Bakrosh, chieftain of the Gardmore orcs, under the guise of being mercenaries working with their former enemies, the Iron Circle. The tiefling who arranged for the meeting however, did not buy their lie, and led them straight into an ambush. Dozens of orcs, two large ogres and the tiefling himself were prepared to corner them inside the hall. Close up of the dead body on the table. Just a quick job using a Weapons and Warriors figure and some contour putty. Realizing they were outnumbered, the PCs surrendered, allowing themselves to fall captive to the orc boss. Stripped of their possessions and with their hands bound, they were locked in the ancient dungeon jail cells. With an ingenious plan, they escaped quickly, stealing weapons and waging a daring attack against the chieftain. Incredibly lucky rolling and a bit of DM generosity helped them to win an unlikely battle, killing Bakrosh and the Tiefling who deceived them and recovering their lost belongings. No pictures of this because I just used the map included with the module. Here is the mini I used for Bakrosh, though. Next the PCs ventured into the fey grove, where they had a sticky encounter with some deathjump fighters and a rival party of adventurers. I think a player got pictures of this, but it was just the playable trees I posted above and minis.

These are tile for a future encounter. I'll put new pics with the props that go with each whenever the party gets there.

Bloodchoke your texture work is really impressive. It looked really nice to start with and has only gotten better with each pic posted. These latest spiral staircases... wow! I love the detail in the stone texture and in the runes around the circle. The highlight work on the surface edges really makes the details stand out. This would be perfect for a Baelnorn's secret hiding chamber I've got planned for some elven ruins I've got in store for my players within the next couple of levels.

Are you using foam board for those spiral staircases?

Thanks a lot, Wiz. It has definitely been a learning experience since I found Scotty's videos. Sometimes I think I like making stuff as much as actually running the game.
The stairs, as well as the tiles, are indeed made of dollar tree foam board. That's been my go-to lately for single, important pieces. I just used some scraps for the stairs, so from the side you can see some gaps and not much texture. The foam board is really easy to work with, cuts like butter and is very easy to impress texture into after the paper backing is peeled away.

Oh, also I didn't attach the stairs, that way I can put them over the down stair sections for the ground floor.
