I'm constructing a large manor house for my PC's to go through and I was looking for thoughts on how to paint the flooring. Any thoughts?
Thanks ~Chris

A neat trick could be to get a cheap patterned wallpaper and apply it to the tiles before you add the walls. Walla, instant floor design.

...of course paint the walls before you add them to the tile to avoid getting paint on the wallpaper.

You could also try Scrapbooking pages. You can usually find them fairly cheap since it isn't as big a fad as it once was. My daughter and I used it for a school project for her business class. We went with wall to wall, but at the same time you could just cut area rugs, etc., too.

Marble technique. Wealthy people love marble floors! I am sure there is a DMScotty video on marble...

I recently purchased a 12" x 12" adhesive linolium tile from Lowe's for a dollar. It was sandstone colored and textured. I'm going to use it for the main room of a tavern. Something like this could be easily cut up for hallways or custom shapes. Lowe's was also selling 4" x 4" tiles for a dollar or less each but they were bright white and completely smooth. They were about a 1/4" thick. They would make a nice base for a statue, fountain, etc. Some of what I saw in the flooring section was very inexpensive and might work for a manor house.
