The idea is not my own I some one mention the idea on another forum purely in speculation. Have any of you experimented with using pop up features for dungeons. I have seen a few dollhouse diorama that are pop ups. I was thinking how cool it would be to just unfold a mat and have a room with furnishings and different 3d elements pop up. I figured I would tap some other creative thinkers.

Pop-ups are a neat idea, but WOW....For a couple special encounters they'd be cool, but, and I am purely speaking for myself, it would take up more space than my entire collection of tiles. I have a handful of tiles for dungeons/castles/great outdoors enviornments and decor for each of the styles. I can place and replace trees, doors, pillars, trees, etc and essentially never have the same tile twice. For me, a single tile for every encounter would eat up a lot of time and a lot of my limited room.

Well if designed right it would be folded in half and take up the same space as 3 stacked large tiles.
