hi crafters! I have bought some prefab trees, originally made for train models but fine for our use. They are made of plastic but have small bases and fall easily. I dont want to glue them on my tiles, then I cant use then Again and transport becomes more difficult. But, to the piont, what is a good way to weigh them Down so they dont tip over all the time? I dont want them to look like they are floating above the tiles either!? feed back please!

grab a hunk of dirt, mix it with glue, form it into a wad and stick the tree in it, press it into a base shape, put it on a non stick surface, let it set and paint it to match the tile later.
Literally dirt cheap.

glue dirt/pebbles/gravel to the base. Similar to AJ's, except you can make a rocky base.
Alternatively, glue the base onto a small cardboard circle. Then glue stuff to the circle. This will give you a bigger area to support the tree, and it's made of cardboard.

Both are good options.

I came up with this myself after several other attemts: I glued a Screen washer under the base of the tree, to make it heavier! Works great! and the gap between base and tile is close to none!

Yeah, I use 1-inch washers for lots of things I make, they're really useful - several people on these boards use them. I also bought a boatload to weigh down my Bones Kickstarter minis whenever they finally arrive.

Testing the two options against each other and the weighted down tree wins! Just moving my minies on the tiles and the non-weighted trees fall like snow in a blizzard.....well You get my point! I love this forum!
