Hello. Are there other people here interested in terrain made out of folded paper? I have quite a bit of different things made that way, in addition to things I just purchased or scavenged from my boardgames. Here are some pictures: Various items I've folded over the last few months, templates from many people including some customs and conversions: CLICKMy shot at bashing dungeon-tile-like tiles out of a WWG product, since scrapped: CLICKMixed medium scenery: CLICKRecent camp site build to test some terrain format conversions: CLICKI'd love to see where people get their templates from, or templates they've made (I get my from World Works Games, Dave Graffam Models and rarely from Fat Dragon Games) or just look at various builds and compositions.

Scavenging from other sources is a great idea.

Nice integration of the Teraclips. The scale of the table must be large, how big do you play?

A good size to be sure. Since I play some warmachine as well I built a table for my gaming room. Though a bit snug when we play D&D it works fantastic. The table is 6X6 foot with a 4'X4'X4" sunken vault.

How much did that table cost to make?

I weep that my thread is now about tables instead of papercrafted terrain.

Well, to be honest, not very much.
The table top frame was made from scrap and recovered 2x4 I have collected. The 4x4 posts used to make the legs were free as well, it is amazing what people here in Saint Louis put out for the bulk pick up. The 4 slate tiles cost me $15 (a box) at Habitat for Humanity. The walnut slats cost me 5 bucks a bundle ($40 total at Habitat as well). These were cuttings from a hardwood floor installation. I used a 4x4 of a full sheet of OSB for the floor of the vault, $25. Natural stain and poly clear coat adds another $30-40 bucks. Last but not least are two boxes of wood screws, maybe another $20.
Fudging the price up a bit as I built the table about a year ago the total was somewhere around $175. This is due to the fact that I bought recovered materials and found/scavenged others. It took 3 days to design, 5 days to build (I have a day job) and three guys to move. The legs and top are separate. Also the legs are two separate parts as well.
It looks good on the top but, as I am not carpenter, the underside shows my lack of woodcraft.

I weep that my thread is now about tables instead of papercrafted terrain. Sorry, I will pull the conversation back. I will pull down some of my paper models. I had not intended this to happen, sorry.

I've already commented on your thread. ... That it makes me want to buy the dorfy WWG sets just for the props. You have any close up photos of Fat Dragon objects? I have their interior set, but after taking a close look at it I thought the texture work is just... not up to my standards, you never know how it comes out printed though. I have been converting FD furnitures to better textures some time ago. Printed out some of them lately but haven't assembled them yet.

That doesn't look half bad actually. Those hay beds (not sure what's the proper English term) look pretty nice.
When I look at the .pdfs I just see all of these errors and low quality of certain things, but when it's printed it's all less noticeable.

They're ok to fill rooms. They don't look much on their own but in play they work out pretty well.

Most furniture is just a rectangle shape and can easily be made from cardboard and cardstock. here is a nice pic of an inn made by Christopher Tennant who did just that. (of course his tables are round)... Attachments:

Most furniture is just a rectangle shape It's not about the shape, it's about the texture and colour.

Yeah. Papermau's problem is that there's no scale standardisation, often there's no scale stated at all and the models aren't RPG adapted. And finally there's no style consistency between entries. It's more a site for just general papercrafters and not RPG papercrafters. I've known about the site for a long time but have so far not found a single thing there that would work on the tabletop.

I'm curious if there's any interest in some quick tutorials for how to do aesthetic papercraft terrain pieces?
