That's a brilliant idea. When you said "hovering" i was thinking : MAGNETS.... and.... you surprised me with this amazingly simple technique. Great!

dreidel, dreidel, dreidel, I made it out of a box from FedEx because I never throw away cardboard and if my gluegun's not hot and ready, I'll drybrush the dreidel with some pearlescent paint I just hard-poured

It'd also be neat to design it to catch the draft from a small fan 'off-screen' or rather 'off-map.' Perhaps the 2-inch square sides could be designed as depressions, or some triangle add-ons could be perpendicular. See the ideas you inspire?!?
