Here's a photo from my session last night. The players are investigating a goblin-infested thistle den. To craft it, I used a piece of green fabric with a nice texture to it that I purchased to represent grass. The thistle walls are just cardboard with hot glue on top, which I painted in dark green and then did a series of successive highlights of lighter greens. I think it went well - and my players are enjoying the gridless play so far!

Nice idea. Great way to show the areas of dense foliage. It's like a reverse tile.

I like the use of a table cover. This allows you to use it again and again. Well done.

Yeah, I thought doing it this way would be more reusable, and would use a lot less cardboard.
