So I had some fun this week. I set aside some time for a "Re-Baseing Day". I re-based several figures I had here in my figure box. They included some Dreamblade, WoW, and Mage Knight figures.
I am also trying out two new bases. One is the wood bases from Litko and another is the small green bases from Warlord Games (50 for $5).
My friend is going to come over with his Camera and we shall have photos for you to see later on.
I do have to say that I love re-basing, but so far I have yet to discover a base that I like as much as the original D&D bases.

Sorry it took so long to get a picture. Here is my first batch of rebased minis. They come from a mix of pre-painted and metal minis.

Thanks for the kind words. I have my next batch ready to rebase. I have to admit it is fun creating my own D&D minis from other sources.

Ok, time to necro my own thread. :-) First, when I made this thread we didn't have a seperate mini section. Would one of the mods please move this over for me. In any case. I forgot to post pictures of my second batch. But here is pictures of batch #2 and batch #3. I will rebase even more later on this week.

Nice, well done. You have inspired me. My kids played the mage knight and I have some figs packed away. I may get them out

Of course there is a lot of bad stuff too. But I have found some good figures in the Heroclix line as well. I did not expect to find as many nice figures but there are quite a few.

Thanks danielc - I found about fifty of the old mage knight figs and a couple of them made it into yesterdays iron kingdoms rpg game. I did not have time to rebase them yet.

Hello, I hope nobody minds if I resurrect this thread.
I see you've used bases for your new minis which look striking similar to the D&D ones. I've searched everywhere but I can't find this type of base. Do you remember who produces them?
BTW, great job on re-basing. I'm scanning the pictures for minis I can indentify. I already got some, waiting for a re-base and plan to get more that fit next to my other D&D minis.

I see you've used bases for your new minis which look striking similar to the D&D ones. I've searched everywhere but I can't find this type of base. Do you remember who produces them? The bases are made by WotC. The reality is, There were some of the old Star Wars figures that were selling for about ten cents to 25 cents each. So I bought a ton of Bespin Guards and some goofy Large guy and cut them off the bases. (Yes I know some PPM fans just fainted) The closest I could find to old DDM bases were more. And no, no matter what some people say, the GW slotted bases are not the same. In a few months you will be able to buy the blank DCM bases in sizes ranging from Small to 4"x4". They are the same hight as the DDM bases. The only difference is they have a small slit in four spots used for their game tag system. This is not a bad thing in my mind. Anyway, good luck with your rebase method. Daniel
