I have bought and traded many from Bartertown. But if you are looking for specific singles then I have used several sellers on ebay, as you have already listed. EDIT: Added Link

The good news is that there are 3d printers that are coming down in price. The bad news is that it's still well over $3000 to buy one. Hopefully soon they will come further down in price so i can buy one and start making my own minis!
I'm trying my best not to go all out and not getting more than the bare necessities right now, like a few of the core races in each type of armor (just three, warrior, cater and ranged) and one or two of the not-so-core races (except dragonborn, they're super expensive). The sad thing is that i have an ebay account but i'm not using it!

I have had excellent results ordering direct from reaper. At five to seven bucks a model, it is pretty expensive that way. I have also had games where we used the kids' Lego guys. As for me, I only have two or three of my reaper guys left, so I'm thinking I'll try making some guys in fimo. I am working on a 12 inch guy in paper mache, but that is just too big to make a dungeon for. Of course my fimo guys are going to be kind of cartoony, but there is no helping that. Not at my untried skill level anyway.

I've had some success here: www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Copy_of_Fantasy.html50 Orcs or Dwarves for £7:70, and in three poses per race. Scale of 28mm. However, for a smaller scale (15mm), you can get 10 metal minis for £4:00 here: www.15mm.co.uk/TTF_Dwarves.htmThey are the cheapest minis I've found anywhere online so far, and I've ordered from them both with quick sending (3-7 days in UK) and no problems. Would recommend!

I get all my minis from coolstuffinc.com They are a bit cheaper than reaper for the same mini. Their in-stock fluctuates a lot though.

Coolstuffinc.com has some nice stuff. I just got Cadwallon: City of Thieves Painted Miniatures Set A and B from them. Very nice pre painted minis.

Has anyone successfully made a mold of a bought mini to duplicate it? I have a personal issue with people who do this. It is a theft of someone elses IP when you do this. It is wrong. And we should not promote this on the forum in my opinion. Coolstuffinc.com has some nice stuff. I just got Cadwallon: City of Thieves Painted Miniatures Set A and B from them. Very nice pre painted minis. Yep, bought the same sets few weeks ago. They had them when no one else did other and an ebay seller who wanted $50 each. If they have it, Coolstuffinc has good prices. @ DMBenjamin:
Ceasar does have great stuff. However their fantasy line is 1:72 scale. very tiny. I'm using the orcs as goblins, and the dwarves as halflings...etc...

I can not endorse making molds of pre existing minis. As a person that has made molds of non copyrighted miniatures I can attest that creating molds of this type can be a difficult and expensive process. Unless you plan on creating a whole army it is much more cost effective just to buy second hand miniatures.

Just a suggestion, when we post a source on this thread we should include a link. I have edited my two posts to include links.
