First and foremost, joined recently, and have been watching dmscotty's vids for a few weeks now. THANK YOU so much DMScotty! Your videos are great! Your ideas are excellent and the crafting videos are well paced for someone who is not crafty like myself. I run 2 roleplaying games at the YMCA where I work, for kids basically in 3rd-6th grade. They LOVE it! We play very modified pathfinder rules, basically making kids be able to play and stay interested. You videos have given me so many ideas and I have slowly started making different things for the games. So far my kids love what I've made so far, and they want to try and do some things too! How cool is that! Anyway, the first thing I made was the stalagmites. By the third one they started coming out better. Two questions- 1. Is there some type of technique I should use to get the glue to dry smoothly, so it doesn't look like a melted candle? 2.Any other ideas for things to make with tp and paper towel rolls? (I asked coworkers to save them for me, now I have a ton.

I'm glad you and the kids are having fun because that is whats its all about.
As far as the stalagmites go make sure you smear the hot glue with the tip of the gun so it doesn't look like wax just running down. I am doing a vid soon on larger trees and you can use the rolls for them too. You can also make large round pillars out of them.
Happy cratin' DM Scotty
