So what's it all about? I am going to be running the P1 module King of the Troll Haunt Warrens Orcus conversion. Trolls! lots of Trolls and one that raises his ugly heads a few times is a Two-headed troll. So I hit a well known auction site to get myself one. £20 for a mini? I'm not paying that. So I give it a few weeks and nothing comes up worth even looking at. My solution is to make a TwhT. So I got hold of 2 Bones Trolls. They are not as big as I would like but I am going to covert them so I hope to add some size. My doners One has already gone to pieces over my scalpel work along with my thumb. I will keep you up to date but I am notorious for starting a project and never finishing

One has already gone to pieces over my scalpel work along with my thumb. I will keep you up to date but I am notorious for starting a project and never finishing 1) I second Scottie's advice: Take cate with sharp blades. Fortunately I haven't hurt myself (or others) so far while crafting, but I had some very close calls with the circular saw bench* and also when cutting glass bottles**, but nothing drew blood so far. * the rotating sawblade cracked and embedded itself in my jacket. without that old jacket, the whirring blade segment would have hit in my belly. ** advice: don't work with fast-rotating metal grinders on glass. never. 2) Looking forward to seeing how you do this! So if it's not a great deal, please post work in progress updates (with pics, if possible).

So I cut up the 2 trolls. So nice to cut the mini's with a scalpel made the process very quick. The two torso pieces and two leg pieces have been joined together with pins. The pins are corkboard pins I pushed in and cut to desired length. I applied a liberal amount of super glue and used an activator to cure the glue fast in the desired place. This picture is for size comparison, WOTC troll, GW LOTR Moria troll and GW LOTR (30mm?) figure.

I love the way you decided to cut it up. My brain did not go to this place when I first read your post about making it two headed. Very nice!

Wasn't sure how you were going to do it, but I must say it is coming along very nicely!

Looks like it will be a very good mini! Definitely a different kind of creature!

Bones are much easier to cut =) And glue back together! I picked up the Pathfinder metal monk mini and have modified it to make it into a shirtless sailor wielding a trident, while I've gotten the shaft of the trident attached, I still have to work on the fork! Going to probably make it out of green stuff as anything else won't stay attached!
