I am creating a long tile that is a shortcut pass through a swamp. Besides the rocky mountainous walls on either side of the pass, I have three other surfaces I need to distinguish: rocks jutting out from the swamp; the spongy, mossy earth that snakes its way through the path. and the swamp water. I did a quick and dirty outline of the various land masses, and then I painted all areas just enough for me to know what's what. Here is the tile built up with one side of rocky, mountainous walls worked up. I just primed the one finished half, and will hopefully work the rest through on Sunday. I also created three cave entrances per the DM Scotty method. I look forward to any feedback, comments, ideas, etc.

Seems pretty badass to me & you seem to know what you want, & what you're doing just keep it up. Can't wait to see the finished product. ;3

I really like the way you edged the scene by bending up the jagged bits.

Very cool are the arch ways foam? i havent worked with that material yet. but i so want to. At my Home Depot they have small pieces of the foam for $5, 1" thick. It's big enough to make several pieces, and you can cut it with an extendable hobby knife, or a bread knife for a good rock texture (though it will ruin the knife).

Also, the swamp is looking great, really murky and dreadful. I really like how your making the mountainous wall. Nice work, can't wait to see the finished product.

I like that a lto, and the bent-up cardboard simulating the mountains is a great idea!

Very cool are the arch ways foam? i havent worked with that material yet. but i so want to. Yeah...they are the pink foam. I just followed-DM Scotty's video on making an archway, but I am going for a swampy grey-black look, so I chose different color scheme than in the video. Also, I have since added some underbrush material (like flocking, but clumpier) to simulate the moss growing. I also added moss green paint to simulate some algae growth.
