Sorry, the forums here have been pretty quiet as of late. I will be working on some cavern tiles, nothing out of the ordinary, just need some more. I think I need to make a trip to the thrift store to get some new bitz for inspiration.
Anyone else working on anything?

I'd like to finish up my water room with stairs tile. It needs some walls put on, and some water ripple, then off to get painted.

Meh, I'll be moving most the weekend, so just collecting cardboard. I have a few projects started, but they'll have to be put off for another week. I've finally made some doors, just need to paint them, and I have some other pieces I'm working on for Gardmore Abbey, including book cases and some large blocks of ice). I also really want to finish up a couple minis, but not sure when I'll be able to. I HATE being an adult (or at least, pretending to be).

My crafting this weekend will be the spraying/painting of a half scale skull for my niece so she can carry it around on Halloween. Apparently the bright blue it was painted was not scary enough. Hoping to get some LED's in the eye sockets too.

Hopefully get to finish up my steamborg purple worm. Also going to be modifying some giant dollar store spiders into steamborg spiders.

Working that swamp pass. Also, Enworld forums gave me great ideas for other swamp encounters. Will be working some simple props to work those encounters on the battlemap.

I've got a bunch of things going, at the moment, but I think I'll be concentrating on dungeon dressings. I am still prototyping altars and have settled on a design for 3/4" crates, made of folded card stock. So I'll most likely make a bunch of them, while watching random D&D inspired YouTube videos.

After watching the last few episodes of the craft I'll be heading out to the hardware store for some mesh for modern/sci-fi flooring, & I have been noticing cheap dinosaur skeletons wrapped with a removable rubber skin at Walmart so a dragon skeleton is in my future as well. ;p

Watched the torch-making video last night... Brilliant!!! I will be making several of these, tonight, maybe, or Sunday, or both.
I also picked up a Wagner Paint Sprayer off of e-Bay, to paint up a bunch (100+) pieces of pink styrofoam insulation I cut up to use as wall sections for both rock caverns, and ice caverns, for a miniatures version of the classic Giant series of modules, G1-G2-G3, using BattleSystem Skirmish rules (AD&D-lite). I need to verify it works (used, got it for very little money), so I can leave the seller feedback, and get moving on my project. The styrofoam pieces will be placed on top of an appropriately colored piece of ground cloth, over the tabletop. The pieces are cut to be modular, butting against one another's ends, to form the cavern passages.
I tried painting them with a brush, but they require 3+ coats, and using a brush will take far too long. Besides that, the Wagner is supposed to give a really smooth finished surface. I also have an outdoor shed to paint, and this will be sooo much faster to get the job done. [There! Justified that hobby purchase as a 'non-hobby' purchase. Right! On to the next 'non-hobby' acquisition!] Cheers!

I'll be trying to finish up another section of cliffs for a Monday Pathfinder session. PC's are finally entering Schloss Caromarc from the Carrion Crown AP and I need lots of cliffs and bridges...

I've begun working on my modular tiles and also got my shipment of Dwarven Forge kickstarter tiles. My modular tiles need to have cardstock attached to the edge, then I need to base coat them and paint them. The DF tiles all need to be painted because I got the unpainted ones.
I hope I'll get some time to work on both this weekend!

Quick tip for upcoming stirge swarm encounter...use repainted bat rings from Halloween toys as stirges that can hang on the minis. Bats rings become attached stirgesOr at least I hope one or two do that for effect.

That is seriously one of the best crafting I've ever seen. In fact, I think this crossed from crafting into art a few miles back - and is still accelerating.

Awesome matakishi your buildings are very badass! I was just wondering ... where did you get those kind of generic hooded cultists (I'm looking for a bunch just like those ;p) & that skeleton worm with the top hat? The worm reminds me of a voodoo loa monster from a shin megami tensei game. Was the top hat made &/or kit bashed on the worm or did it come that way?

I just noticed the skeletons hanging by shackles on the poles in your "black cathedral" pic. Matakishi. I hate to be a pain in the ass, but did you make them, or were they something you bought?

I look forward to seeing the beholder. Perhaps you could make it a fiery undead beholder? On another matter the company thet sells the skellies on sticks is called the Square (I found the photo I took of their sign) www.thesquare-wargames.co.uk/ currently offline, but worth emailing. He was a very helpful chap when I met him.

Well, I made my Great Engine on Sunday, just a pumping station to go and everything will be finished. It needs painting of course, probably do that tomorrow once the pumping station is ready to go too.
