DAY 5 The forest encounter tile. Part 1 I did not have much time to craft today but I did manage to knock out this forest tile which will serve as the base for an encounter I am designing. More details to come in part 2.

Day 6 Forest tile part 2 Finished my forest encounter tile. This encounter could be used at any level because it is mostly skill based. It also shows how you can use one crafty little goblin to cause lots of trouble and aggravation to the players. THE TREEHOUSE OF HORRORS The encounter is based around the players coming across an elven family in the forest. One day while the family was away from their tree home, a mischievous goblin named Snort climbed into their home and took it for his own. The family tells the pcs that they will reward the party with a few magic items if they can get rid of the pesky goblin. Unknown to the party, Snort is already using the items. A cloak of elven kind, a brooch of shielding and a ring of feather falling. Due to his items, camouflage, and the terrain, he will be almost impossible to hit with ranged weapons and or spells. He will only attack when the players are at their most vulnerable. Snort will taunt them mercilessly and throw rocks down on them as they try to climb the rope to the first level (climb skill check). I made some little rock piles but forgot to put them in the pic. When the players attempt to cross the rope bridge (balance skill check) to the next area Snort will shoot some arrows at them. Next the pcs will have to cross the tightropes. Here they can do a balance check or climb check depending on how they want to cross. Two of the four ropes have been cut and weakened by the Snort, if the players make a spot check they will see which ones are safe. When they get to the ladder Snort will drop a beehive down on them, this is another climb check with a -4 penalty. Tightropes to third area and ladder to the fourth area. The very top has a trap door in the floor which Snort cut the climbing rope to. The players will have to jump up to grab and pull themselves up(jump skill check). By this time the pcs will likely truly hate this little PITA. When they get to the top, much to their dismay, Snort has used the ring of featherfall to leap from the top level and has disappeared into the forest with all of the treasures. And the pcs have gained a new recurring enemy to deal with later.

DAY 7 And on the seventh day DM Brad rested. Well, not exactly. Today I have been playing around with my new hot wire foam factory tools. I made a hill piece and some kind of archway/portal. I need to go get some big bottles of paint and some flocking to finish this. I feel kinda silly even posting it at this stage but here is the start of it. The tools are really cool and I am sure once I get used to them I will be able to make some pretty cool stuff. And with that the craftathon has come to an end. Thanks for all of the comments. Time for a beer.
