Skull and Shackles MILD SPOILER (area names and brief descriptions given)Hello everyone, Here's my latest tile: Skull and Shackles / Wormwood Mutiny / Bonewrack Isle / Area C8, Castaway's Stockade. I didn't modify this much from the module map, except that I put a stockade around the inner fort and I curved the spring's stream. Here's the main tile without tree: Tile with tree: Closer on the tile. I used DMZook123's moss grinding technique for the poor-man's flocking. (He took dollar store moss and ground it up in a coffee grinder -- it worked well after I chopped up the longer strands.) Closeup on the two kinds of highlighting I used for the rocks. I wanted the outer glacis to be lit as if it were in jungle-shadow, and the inner to be lit as if it were in sunlight. I got that idea from Ashrothedm's post on his 2.5d forest experiment (posted in general crafting) -- in that post, he painted the tile to look as if it was dappled by sunlight and shadow. I didn't pull it off as well as he, but I'm satisfied with these results. I will try to paint the entire tile that way next time, but for now? Damn the torpedoes. Closeup of the gate. I enjoyed not having to paint the wee twiggies I had to snap to make these gates. I like the idea of a castaway having to use all kinds of jungle-wood to make his fortress. Anyway, there it is. Enjoy!

Dude ... that nifty piece!
The texture on the edges was fantastic! Congratulations, the look of this scene is great!
Did you use real tree branches was not? To make the pegs?
Blue is a watercourse? The color was very vibrant, very cool!
