Hey everyone, this is my first post on this forum, let's see how it goes. I recently received a makerbot 3d printer as a birthday gift. I've been using it to make wargaming terrain and miniatures. Until now I've just been leaving them with a friend to paint, but now I'd like to do this myself. the first thing I've decided to paint are these rock formations. I'm looking for advice on how to paint them and with what colors. Here's a link to the models I've printed out. They're already painted here and, while I like this paint job, I want something a little greyer. Edit: This is not my paint job, I haven't painted them yet, sorry gnomezrule www.thingiverse.com/thing:66681I would really like to see what you all have to say.

That's cool. The painting looks good if you want it lighter you can add a lighter grey to your black base coat and then highlight from there.
I hope after a gift like that you buy the accessory that recycles plastic I know the filament for those can cost a ton.

Sorry, I should have said this in my original post, the picture is not my paint job, that's just an example from the designer.

Hello tobias100hawk! Welcome!
Dude, you have a 3D printer prototypes?!?! Here in Brazil I work with a prototyping machine from Z Corp., but the pieces are very expensive.
The limit is your imagination! Of course you must know how to use 3D modeling programs to make solid pieces, but a prototyping machine is the dream of every player!
