Really like your bridges, nice touch with strings and slightly broken planks! And nice "stony" paint job on the styrofoam parts.

Yes looks good.
My terrain tiles usually have 1/2 inch to 1 inch walls, so a little more than 2.5 D, but less than full 3 D. Guess you could say I use the 2.75 D method!

Not at all, I consider it more of a compliment.

Wow really well-done! Where do you get your styrofoam at? It looks like real stone!

I get all of it from friends who work retail. They have some sweet access to sytrofoam and cardboard. =)

That is some seriously good-looking terrain. That stone looks well-aged, the bridges rickety as hell, and that fire (especially the torches) like it is just blazing away. Lots of "life" in the model. Great job!

eventhough I am not much for styrofoam I think it looks great. Colours are coll and looks real, but why the squares? Aren't you gridless yet?

Next location change starts gridless for my players. I'll have pictures of that project coming before to long.

Great stuff. As an aside, Styrofoam is a construction material, what you have there is polystyrene. They are different substances using similar materials. Polystyrene which you see here is made from small plastic beads heated with steam in a mould to create shapes. This method is used to create packaging materials as you can steam shape to almost anything. Polystyrene reacts negatively to heat and aerosols. Because it is made up of small beads when you try cutting it you get all the round bits (which you dont get with styrofoam). This is also what creates the circle patterns you see on these tiles. I only mention this because someone may go and get styrofoam and expect similar results, which you wont get. For excellent use of polystyrene see the EpicPhantasia channel on youtube.

Very creative combining the two terrain types. Looks good I bet you have a lot of fun playing on it.

My players seem to really enjoy it. They are terrified of crossing the bridges. Perhaps I've hit them with to many traps and hazards in the past. =p

The appearance is really fantastic! Both sets are beautiful!
Both polystyrene as styrofoam produce great results!
Syxxan, I liked the idea of floors with different levels!

This link is my first gridless project. I have a few more pictures to upload whenever I can be done with working OT. I have also started a cave tile series on polystyrene(dmg =p). It is in the style of 2.5D and my hope is that each tile will be interchangeable so that whoever is using them can order them however they like. dmscraft.freeforums.net/thread/827/manor-house
