Some of you have asked about my wood grain. Here's an unfinished wood piece, the counter from the gallery in the Glassworks. You should be able to see the way I used the hot glue to create the texture, using a back and forth motion during placing a small amount of hot glue. After this has cooled, I spray with a flat black and then brush on a brown and dry brush a lighter brown... Attachments:

...the end product looks similar to this (I haven't yet painted the counter). This particular piece is a tabletop. Attachments:

Great looking stuff...your players are going to have a blast. Thanks for showing furniture, a lot of people ask about how to make it. I usually take the lazy route and use premade pieces but you show how easy it is to make them yourself.

Dm1scotty...thanks for your inspiration. I found your videos on YouTube and just had to give it a try. I've been having a blast.
You're right...the accessories and furniture pieces are easy to make. I enjoy the detail work, myself.
Being a 6 year art student, from my college days many years ago, and not having much time or an outlet to create (my occupation doesn't involve art), I have found this type of model building to be very rewarding. My biggest problem is knowing when to stop. I can keep going all day and night!
