I made an Otyugh with some help from a couple little plastic dinosaurs. Used the tails for his tentacles and feet for feet. The rest is made with model magic, toothpicks, 3 small beads for eyes, some wire, and pieces from a fake flower. Here he is all painted up. I am pretty happy with how he turned out.

Pretty cool. I happen to have all that stuff lying around my house right now. Don't ask about the dinosaurs hehehe .... Thanks for the idea dmbrad. ;3

Holy crap. I'd sh*t my adventurer's pants if I would belong to the party who is encountering this creature. Awesome!

Well done! The Otyugh is one of my favorite monsters. It's a real cool eco-friendly creature that can show up just about anywhere another creature generates waste. I just like the oddity of it paired up with a natural gross-factor. Your model is an awesome version!

Thanks guys. I need to get a sculpting medium that is a little firmer. I have a hard time with not messing up what I have already done when working on another part.

Sculpey (regular, soft) and Super Sculpey (firm) are pretty good, but they need baking in an oven.. I actually wonder if making plain old salt, water and flour play dough would work just as well, it certainly dries rock hard.
